The temperature of the air outlet surface and the indoor ambient temperature (or the temperature around the air outlet) is too large a difference, the surface temperature of the air outlet is low, coupled with the high humidity of the indoor air, resulting in indoor machine air outlet condensation, air conditioning outlet condensation is a normal phenomenon.
Although condensation dripping is a normal phenomenon, this may lead to moisture and mold on the wall, or even wall paint peeling, both affecting the aesthetics of the home and the use of air conditioning. So how to deal with it?
1, wooden air vents are the least likely to dew, followed by ABS material air vents, try not to use aluminum alloy air vents.
2, if you think the wooden air outlet is more expensive, you can stick a layer of thin PE insulation board on the side end of the existing central air conditioning air outlet to increase the thermal insulation and reduce the temperature difference.
3, air leakage, outlet size mismatch, poor drainage and other problems, the need for the problem to be completely eliminated.
Currently on the market, wooden air vents can also prevent condensation phenomenon, but relative to the ABS air vents, wooden air vents have a lot of defects occurring, such as: non-flame retardant, easy to lose color, easy to deform, etc., so the current market of anti-dew condensation air vents is still dominated by the ABS air vents.
Other ways to prevent air outlet condensation
Situation 1: indoor machine and air outlet is not connected, resulting in poor airflow, low-temperature cold air circling back to gather, and contact with the hot moisture around the air outlet to produce condensation.
Correct practice: the indoor unit and the air outlet should be directly using the soft connection of heat preservation, or not more than 200mm of canvas and other connections, the outside of the heat preservation material insulation.
Situation 2: the air outlet by the light band or other decorative, installation of misplaced cover, resulting in poor airflow, airflow is reduced, the air temperature is reduced, when lower than the dew point temperature of the air around the outlet when the condensation is generated.
Correct practice: the ceiling decoration surface should not be out of the unit air outlet more than 50mm, flush with the best, the unit air outlet and engineering air outlet without error.
Situation 3: indoor unit engineering return air outlet is too small, the return air resistance increases, resulting in a reduction in the return air volume, the temperature of the air out of the air is reduced, when lower than the dew point temperature of the air around the air outlet, condensation will occur.
Correct practice: the ventilation area of the indoor unit project return air outlet can not be smaller than the unit return air outlet ventilation area, so as to ensure the ventilation volume and reduce the return air noise.
