In families with elderly people, due to their relatively poorer health and slower metabolism, they often feel that turning on the air-conditioner continuously at night may cause too much cool air to accumulate in their bodies, which is different from the case of young people. However, the situation is quite different when there are small children at home.

Fan coiler is usually installed directly in the air-conditioning room, its working condition and quality of work not only affects the air-conditioning effect it should play, but also affects the indoor noise level and air quality. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job in the daily maintenance of air filters, drip trays, coils, fans and other major components to ensure that the fan coiler function properly without negative impact.

Ultra-low energy buildings aim to minimize operational energy consumption while providing occupants with better indoor air quality (IAQ) and thermal and humidity conditions than conventional housing. The core of this technological system is to maximize the use of passive technologies to reduce the cooling and heating demand of the building itself, while prioritizing the application of renewable energy sources to reduce the building heating, cooling and lighting energy consumption. Taking the Sino-German Passive Ultra-Low Energy Residence Promotion Demonstration District in Qingdao area as an example, this paper firstly introduces the passive design scheme of the passive ultra-low energy residence; secondly, the HVAC design scheme of the project is described in detail, including the design of the cooling and heating source system, the fresh air system, and the kitchen ventilation, etc.; and lastly, the continuous monitoring of the typical occupants is carried out, and the operation effect of the system is analyzed. The research in this paper aims to explore the passive design and HVAC design scheme of ultra-low-energy residences, and to provide technical experience for the low-carbon design of residences.
